Initially, confronting Fin Fang Foom might seem secure, as the colossal space dragon begins in deep slumber, drawing cards from his 'Dormant' Master Plan deck. These cards don't stir him or trigger any immediate action, but they advance the invasion of his shapeshifting kin, the Makluans, adding Thugs and threatening Civilians. Heroes must wisely utilize this 'lull before the storm' phase to ready themselves while Fin Fang Foom dozes, completing Missions before his 'Dormant' deck is exhausted. Once two Missions are accomplished and the Villain is 'Under Pressure', Foom awakens and shifts to his 'Awake' Master Plan deck.
